Message from Dr. Seda

You don’t have to do everything—you just have to lead what matters most. This guide helps you do that. It’s the tool I wish I had when I first started leading equity..

Dr. Pamela Seda is a veteran educator with over 30 years of experience as a high school math teacher, instructional coach, district leader, college instructor, and national speaker. As the creator of the ICUCARE® Equity Framework, she is passionate about helping educators design math experiences that center student voice, deepen thinking, and affirm the brilliance of marginalized learners.

Dr. Seda started Seda Educational Consulting with a simple but powerful belief: our students are not the problem—our systems are. After years of watching talented students be mislabeled and underestimated, she made it her mission to equip educators and leaders with the tools to create math classrooms where every learner is seen, supported, and expected to succeed.

She now works across the country supporting schools and districts in embedding equity into the fabric of their math programs—turning good intentions into daily practices that transform student outcomes.
