A professional learning workshop designed to equip math teachers with tools for rigorous, inclusive, and culturally relevant instruction.

This professional learning community (PLC) workshop is designed to equip ESHS math teachers with tools to create rigorous, inclusive classrooms where students are inspired to think, reason, and solve problems.

​Through the ICUCARE® Framework and a collaborative PLC process, teachers will:

  • Strengthen content knowledge in Algebra 1
     

  • Design culturally relevant math tasks that connect to students’ lives
     

  • Analyze rich tasks and define proficiency with a Single-Point Rubric

  • Plan lessons that center student understanding
